Volunteer Programs

Join KEEP in its splendid initiatives as a bonafide volunteer and expand your horizons! KEEP appreciates the interests and commitments of those aspiring individuals with previous work experience and zeal to contribute to the volunteer placement program thereby helping the communities and people of Nepal.

Volunteer for Teaching English:

Education is critical to breaking the cycle of poverty. Realizing the importance of education, KEEP has been facilitating highly qualified volunteer teachers to teach basic and intermediate English in government schools located in various parts of rural Nepal. Through the volunteer teachers, the students are able to gain knowledge and a broader understanding of the world beyond their village. There are opportunities in Dhading, Helambu, Solu Khumbu , Makawanpur District and Kathmandu Valley.

Volunteer for Training, Workshops and Office Administration:

Volunteers who assist the KEEP staff with ongoing programs, trainings and workshops as well as office work are an integral part of allowing KEEP to continue being successful. The work available will vary greatly from time to time. There may be projects and training courses in the field where volunteers are needed; at other times volunteers with office skills and/or marketing experience are needed for our Kathmandu office.

Volunteers with practical work experience and a professional background have helped assure that high quality standards are upheld for the training courses and workshops of the local trekking/ tourism professionals. The courses and the techniques used to impart the knowledge to the locals are of international standards. As a result, KEEP's trainings and workshops have been highly regarded by the trekking companies, hoteliers, and tour operators.
