After your trek
Back in Kathmandu
- Dispose of any rubbish you have brought back from your trek responsibly – sometimes this can be difficult to do. Nepal has limited recycling facilities so please try to take small items – like batteries – home with you to recycle.
- Please visit KEEP’s office and give any feedback about your trekking.
- Write in KEEP’s logbooks about your experience focusing on:
- The area – let us know of any ideas you have for improving the environment there
- Your trekking agency – were they supportive of eco-trekking practices?
- Freelance porters or guides and their contact details if you recommend them
- Local people
- Lodges
- Let KEEP know any recommendations that will improve eco-tourism in Nepal.
